BLOW TO PEMBROKE SPELLED OUT TO SANTANDER BOSSES

Simon Hart MP and Pembroke Chamber of Trade have met Santander bosses to highlight what a blow to the town the closure of the bank branch will be.

Santander is closing its Main Street branch in May and the next nearest will be in Haverfordwest, 13 miles away.

The banking chain is closing the Main Street branch a year after NatWest pulled out of the town.

Eighty concerned residents packed out a public meeting to air concerns about an ongoing road closure that is affecting their everyday lives.

The A484 between Cynwyl Elfed and Cwmduad has been closed for three months since a fatal landslip during Storm Callum.

Castlemartin as well as Warren, St Twynnells, Bosherston, Stackpole are now covered by the improved mobile phone signal as a result of EE switching on a new mast.
