Thank you for visiting my website, I hope that it will help you discover a bit more about the work I do for the people of Carmarthen West and South Pembrokeshire both here at home and in Westminster.
It's been an interesting first year, both for me as a new MP and for the coalition. It's not been without its challenges and bumps in the road, but I am proud of what the Government has achieved.
Against a tough economic climate we have:
- started to regain control of immigration,
- cut the main rate of Corporation Tax for businesses,
- held the public sector to account, for instance by making police forces even more accountable through the police.uk website,
- cut back on unnecessary Health and Safety precautions and abolished red tape such as Home Information Packs,
- started important reform of the Welfare State,
- restored the earnings link for the basic state pension
There is much more that you can keep up to date with via the news page on this website. But there's still a long way to go and I hope that any constituent, regardless of political persuasion, will feel free to contact me by post or telephone at the House of Commons, through the constituency office in Whitland or via
