Speaking after attending the Local Health Board's public meeting in Carmarthen yesterday, local MP Simon Hart said: "The Chairman of the Health Board was clear - the units will reopen on April 1st. This is a great achievement for the local campaigners. Mr Martin also apologised that communications had not been as good as they should have been during this whole process.

"For confidence and trust to be returned to the local community we now need to see the units reopened and clearer lines of communication set up.

"This is a victory for the campaigners of Tenby and Pembroke Dock who quite rightly refused to put up with having these closures enforced upon them."
