Commenting on the news that Milford Haven Coastguard has been confirmed as safe from closure, South Pembrokeshire MP Simon Hart said:

"I am delighted that the Government has confirmed that Milford Haven will remain open and continue servicing our community. This is a reflection of the very sensible campaign by local people and the local media, and proof that consultations really can work."
