The issue of "super dairies" was just one of a number of topics raised by NFU members when they met local MP Simon Hart at a recent farm talk.
Mr Hart was the guest of David James, NFU Pembrokeshire County Chairman, at his farm in Loveston.
They were joined by a number of local NFU members who took the opportunity to quiz Mr Hart on a range of issues from the future of dairy farming to TB, CAP reform and electronic ear tags for sheep.
"One of the main themes was the disappointment at the Welsh Assembly Government's refusal to tackle the TB crisis and their failure to implement a trial control programme," said Mr Hart.
"We met at a big dairy unit and many of the members are dairy farmers so this was a cause close to their hearts."
Mr Hart was given a tour of the rotary parlour and an insight into the modern methods used on large-scale farms.
"I have taken part in a number of debates in Westminster on the issue of so-called "super dairies" as this is an area that is open to a lot of misinformation and at time mischief making. I saw plenty of evidence of high welfare standards and great care and attention given to all of the stock"
"It is vital that we everyone is in possession of the full facts before judgements are made."
