South Pembrokeshire MP Simon Hart has welcomed the news that jobs at Pembroke Dock's former Focus DIY warehouse have been safeguarded after the go ahead was given to B&Q to take over the ailing store.

"The proposed takeover by B&Q had to be approved by the Office of Fair Trading and I helped B&Q raise their concerns about how long this process would take.

"I am extremely relieved to learn that a speedy decision has now been taken by the OFT and that the Pembroke Dock store can be taken over by B&Q and these jobs kept in the community."
