Can Your Charity Get Some Lottery Cash?

Can your charity or good cause get its hands on some lottery cash?

Find out at a Lottery Funding roadshow that local MP Simon Hart is hosting in Whitland's Memorial Hall on Friday March 11th.

The event is open to everyone and will provide a one-stop shop to find the best source of funding for your project.

"We will have representatives from the Big Lottery Fund, The Heritage Lottery Fund and Arts Council of Wales all attending to answer questions and point people in the right direction," said Mr Hart.

"There is a lot of lottery money out there up for grabs but it can be a bit confusing finding out which is the best fund to apply to. The Open Day has come out of a similar event I attended in the House of Commons where I learned about the importance of local charities, groups, individuals and enterprise projects learning how to access this money.

The day runs from 10.30 til 12.30 and will start with an brief overview of lottery funding before a "speed dating" style event where individuals can go along and chat to the different funding organisations.

"It is really appropriate that the hall where we are holding the event has just reopened after a refurbishment partly funded by the Big Lottery Fund," added Mr Hart. "It would be wonderful to think that there may be another set of successful lottery funding applications as a result of the day."

The Lottery Funding Roadshow takes place at Whitland’s Memorial Hall on Market Street between 10.30am and 12.30am on Friday March 11th.
