WINNING BID – Linda Atherton from Narberth is pictured with Carmarthen West and South Pembrokeshire AM Angela Burns and MP Simon Hart at a recent fundraising lunch for the local Conservative Association.

Mrs Atherton had won the hamper in an auction at the Association's annual Christmas lunch held at Cresselly House by kind permission of Association President Hugh Harrison-Allen.

The event was attended by more than 100 people and raised around £1,500 through ticket sales, an auction and raffle. The money will go towards Mrs Burns' re-election campaign for next May's Welsh Assembly election.

"It was a wonderful event and great to see such strong support for the Association as we go into a crucial six months," said Mrs Burns.

"The local Conservative Associations have slowly but surely turned the whole of Pembrokeshire blue in the last few years and I am determined to continue to work hard and do my best to serve the county."
