Commenting on the news that the Border Agency has found 28 illegal workers at the construction site of the new Pembroke Power Station, local MP Simon Hart said:
"After all the reassurances that the county has been given by the companies involved this is extremely disappointing news. I have asked for a full explanation of what has been going on. We are either looking at incompetence or dishonesty in the employment policies in place at the power station, neither of which is acceptable. For more than a month I have been trying to make contact with the human resources departments of companies employed as contractors in order to discuss their recruitment policies and their unwillingness to respond has been extremely unsatisfactory."
Please also find attached a letter sent by Simon Hart to Alstom's UK President over the weekend.
